Privacy.
Studio is a workspace for filmmakers. We collect the minimum data needed to run it for you, store it where you'd expect, and never sell it. If you're looking for the short version: we hold your films, we don't train on them, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
What we collect
Account: email address, display name, and an optional avatar URL when you sign in via Google. We use these to recognise you across sessions and to send transactional email (sign-in links, billing receipts).
Project content: the films, series, scenes, blocks, characters, scripts, and any references you upload. These are private to your account and protected by row-level security at the database tier.
Generated assets: stills, video clips, and voice tracks produced through Studio Pro. Stored on Cloudflare R2 with signed URLs that expire — never public.
Usage telemetry: anonymised page views and feature usage via PostHog. You can opt out at any time from the cookie banner.
Billing: if you subscribe to Studio Pro, Stripe holds your card. We see only the last four digits and the subscription state.
What we don't do
We don't train AI models on your films, your bibles, your scripts, or your generated assets. Provider terms — Imagen, Gemini, Runway, Veo, Sora, Pika, ElevenLabs — are summarised below. Where a provider's default terms permit training on inputs, we contractually opt out.
We don't sell your data to third parties. We don't share your content with advertisers. We don't profile you for resale.
Where data lives
Postgres (EU region): account, projects, generation audit log. Hosted on Supabase.
Cloudflare R2 (global edge): generated assets. Auto-deletes 90 days after creation unless the film is locked.
Stripe (US / EU): billing identifiers and payment instruments. We never see card numbers.
Sentry: error reports. Stack traces are scrubbed of personally identifiable values before they reach us.
AI provider terms
When you choose to generate with Imagen, Veo, Runway, Sora, Pika, Seedance, ElevenLabs, Suno, Udio, or Luma, your prompt and any reference images are sent to that provider. Each has its own privacy policy linked from Settings → Models. On Studio Pro we route through our own keys and contracts; on Free, your browser calls them directly with your keys.
Your choices
Export: Render → Export delivers MP4, screenplay, storyboard, and a project bundle (JSON) at any time, with one click.
Delete: Settings → Account → Delete permanently removes every row keyed to your account, the associated R2 assets, and your Stripe customer. We retain billing records for the legal minimum (typically 7 years).
Access: email privacy@arthea.io for a full data export within 30 days, free of charge.
Cookies
Studio uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, a CSRF-protection cookie, and (with your consent) PostHog analytics cookies. Full details on the cookies page.
